Co-Lead Learning Minds

Ana Isabel Cubillo Fernandez is one of the Co-Leads of the Learning Minds Portfolio at the Jacobs Foundation. In her role, Ana draws on years of research experience to convene and support the most brilliant minds to create an international network of leading experts in child development and learning, fostering an environment of knowledge-sharing and collaboration. She is passionate about identifying opportunities for new initiatives, partnerships, and multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaborations that drive new ideas and solutions around human learning.

With over 14 years of academic background and her role within the Learning Minds portfolio, Ana remains dedicated to advancing research on learning variability, always striving to contribute to our understanding of how children learn and grow, with the hope that her work may have a positive impact on education and child development.

Ana holds a PhD in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neurosciences, King’s College, London, and MPhil in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, an MSc in Clinical and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Madrid, Spain, and is accredited as Certified Clinical Psychologist by the Spanish Ministry of Health, Madrid, Spain.
