Tonight from 6pm (CET), the Jacobs Foundation is delighted to bestow two Klaus J. Jacobs Research Prizes in one year. The prestigious prizes go to Harvard Medical School Professor Charles A. Nelson and Stanford University Professor Daniel L. Schwartz.
Professors Nelson and Schwartz are recognized for pushing scientific boundaries within their disciplines to identify unique chances for improving children’s education and lives. The prizes are endowed with one million Swiss Francs each and are presented in front of an international livestream audience. For the first time and in context of the rising COVID-19 figures, the ceremony takes place as an online event this year.
The Klaus J. Jacobs Research Prize is awarded each alternate year in honor of our founder, Klaus J. Jacobs. The Prize is intended to reward scientific work of high social relevance to the development of children and young people.
