We want to unlock the impact of EdTech by ensuring that evidence is at the heart of product development, assessment and investment.

• Investment: We develop and use investment instruments that offer financial incentives for EdTech companies and their investors to become more impact driven. In parallel, we invest in EdTech-focused venture capital funds to stay on top of the most recent developments in the sector and influence the investor community’s use of evidence.
• Research: We support the development of effective evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of the EdTech products of our investee companies and create new research facilities dedicated to improving educational technologies for children.
• Coalitions: We engage leading funders supporting EdTech ventures and research to advance the industry’s focus on evidence-based impact. Spearheaded by the Jacobs Foundation, the EdFIRST alliance  is conceived as a coalition of funders that work together towards increasing investor-driven demand for evidence in EdTech and advancing change in practices and standards of EdTech companies.
